Distributor Computerlinks and Internet technology solutions, today announced an agreement to become the UK and Ireland distributor for Guardium, a market leader in database security, monitoring and compliance.

As a result of this partnership, Computerlinks will work with a select number of reseller partners, providing its IT security and professional services expertise to exploit the demand for solutions that prevent data vulnerabilities and address audit findings.

Guardium delivers an enterprise security platform for preventing information leaks from the data centre and enforcing change controls, in order to assure the privacy and integrity of sensitive corporate information. The technology prevents unauthorised activities by potential hackers, privileged insiders, and end-users of enterprise applications such as Oracle and SAP, while simplifying and automating compliance processes.

David Ellis, Director of e-Security, Professional Services and Training at Computerlinks said, "Database security is on the agenda for all businesses and Guardium is the market leader for large heterogeneous environments with an exciting roadmap of innovation planned. The opportunity is huge for our partners and as part of our launch program, we plan to run a series of both technical and commercial training sessions to help our partners capitalise."

"Computerlinks was carefully selected given its proven track record, reach and strong professional services and training capability. Since Guardium was founded in 2002, our technology has continuously been enhanced based on feedback from some of the world¹s best known brands and government organisations. This agreement with Computerlinks will enable us to help UK resellers find simple ways to secure their client¹s enterprise data and pass audits," said Crayson Jenkins, Director EMEA at Guardium.
