3 customers bought more than a million music tracks and videos in April, representing 17% of all digital downloads and a 76% share of the mobile music market in that month. As 3’s marketing director Graeme Oxby said: “A few years ago no-one would have believed mobile could have had such an impact on the music market. These are exciting times for us as the market looks set to grow and grow.” The 3.5m customers on 3 are spending an average of £34.51 per month on communications, entertainment and information services.
