Bernard's Farewell

Networks & Network Services
As of January 1st next year Bernard Ghillebaert is stepping down from his role as Orange UK CEO to make way for Tom Alexander, but wanted to say goodbye before he went.
Hello everyone,

As you know, I’ll be leaving Orange UK in a few weeks time.

Before I go, I wanted to tell you how proud I am to have been EVP of Orange UK for the past three years. I’ve enjoyed my time here immensely – it’s had its challenges and tough times but I am really proud of what we have all achieved.

It’s been a great three years. I know I’m leaving the business in good hands as Tom Alexander officially steps in as CEO on 1 January.

Thank you for all your hard work and support over the last three years. I wish you all and Orange UK the very best for the future.

Enjoy the festive season.

Au revoir !
Bernard

Olaf Swantee, head of European and Middle Eastern mobile operations said "Bernard has made an essential and lasting contribution to the UK business over the last three years in a period of extremely challenging market conditions. He has re-established Orange in a leadership position in our core consumer pay monthly business and laid the foundations for the future of Orange by successfully managing the integration of our mobile and broadband businesses so we now operate as one company, under one brand with one vision. I look forward to him replicating that success in his new role."
