Two ambulance drivers taking a patient from Ilford to Brentwood, a 12-mile journey, went 200 miles off course and ended up on the outskirts of Manchester before realising they might be lost.
Seems they had believed their satnav directions without manually confirming their destination. “The problem with the navigation database is now being fixed” said a spokesperson.
