Bubble squabble to go to Europe

A long-running legal dispute about bubbles has been referred to the European Court of Justice. Basically 3 produced a series of ads punning on O2’s bubbles;…
O2 says this infringed its trademark, but there’s a European Comparative Advertising Directive which says trademarks can be used in comparative advertising … up to a point. Back in March the High Court ruled this applied, so 3 won then; O2 appealed, and this time the Court has decided that the European Court of Justice needed to decide the standard.
