One of our favourite venues, ranked in the Top 100 UK courses and recent host to the PGA Cup, the Longcross Course proved a valid test for the forty members who played in the team and individual stableford competition.

The autumn weather was kind and the final scores were good with our eventual winner, Simon Johnson of Juniper Bridge coming in three shots better than handicap of fourteen with thirty-nine points.  Second and third places were tightly contested by father and son Grant and Gordon McRoberts of Talking Business with thirty-six and thirty-five points respectively.  I’d have loved to have been in the car on the way home with them!

The team competition was won by Mark Wyatt (Gower Business systems), Paul Taylor (Voiceflex), Gordon McRoberts (Talking Business) and Dean Burgin (Boxx Communications) with eighty two points.

Dave Breith (Breith Limited) was our target golfer who won the nearest the pin prize whilst Grant McRoberts proved his athleticism and ability by hitting a monster 300 yard drive to win the Longest Drive prize.

This event attracted many new members from the Channel community and they were made to feel very welcome. If you are interested in joining us please email leanne@cbmagazine.co.uk to be added to our membership list.
