Electronic Arts is to acquire Jamdat Mobile for around $680m, signalling the games giant’s long-expected move into mobile.EA expects to publish more than 50 mobile games in the next 12 months – among them top titles such as Tetris, Need for Speed, EA Sports Madden NFL Football and EASports FIFA Soccer.
Jamdat chairman and chief executive Mitch Lasky will stay on.
