Extending the value of Microsoft Teams

Brian Schwartz, product marketing, platform, at 8x8, explores how organisations can extend the value of Microsoft Teams through integrations.

A core focus for us this year is to highlight how we extend the value of Microsoft Teams. We believe in a better-together story. As such, we are rolling out tons of educational content including this panel discussion featuring two of our top engineers who speak with customers everyday about 8x8 and Teams.

We have just published, Creating Digital DNA with Microsoft Teams. This guide provides results and analysis of a recent study of 500 IT decision makers in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Key stats and notes:

  • 80 per cent of respondents said they were either somewhat likely or extremely likely to integrate Microsoft Teams with their current or another telephony provider.
  • While respondents are generally pleased with their Teams experience, there are features they are strongly or extremely interested in including device reports, keyword and sentiment analysis as well as more global telephony capabilities.
  • 91 per cent of respondents somewhat or strongly agreed that a contact center needs to be part of an overall unified communications strategy.

The report also includes a list of the top questions you should ask potential providers of telephony services that connect with Teams. Additionally, Jonathan Myers, a senior sales executive at 8x8 offers his trends and Teams tips.
