Newcastle distributor Fone Logistics has successfully added full online credit checking to its 3 fulfilment service.
Fone Logistics operates a fully automated fulfilment process allowing dealers engaged in distance selling and remote virtual retailing activities to link directly into its sales order processing systems. The latest development allows its fulfilment dealers to have orders automatically and seamlessly credit checked by 3, with the results being fed back to the dealer in real-time.
As a result, the dealer knows instantly when a sales call has resulted in a successful order. The integration has also resulted in an increase of same-day order despatches, with approved orders passed without any manual intervention into Fone Logistics’ Picking operations. And dealers can adjust their procedures to attract the higher value customer more likely to successfully pass the network’s credit-scoring.
