The HP iPAQ 610c features a unique Smart touch navigation wheel – just touch the touch-senistive ring you see on the alpha-numeric keypad and you can scroll through the menus, aplications and documents. The device is meant to be easily used by one hand so there is even a Jog Wheel on the left side which is rather nice – we at GSMArena love jog wheels. The keypad also features a dedicated key for switching between landscape and portrait orientation of the screen. Among the other HP iPAQ 610c features are full VoIP support, USB port and the integrated 256MB of memory expandable through the microSD card slot. The 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash comes last but not least in our feature scoop. A version without a camera (iPAQ 610) will also be available. The HP iPAQ 610c will start shipping in late September and the beginning of October 2007.
The bigger brother – HP iPAQ 910c has almost the same functionality as the HP iPAQ 610 but comes with a QWERTY keyboard to make texting a great deal easier. It sports the same CPU and memory as well as OS and supports all the data transfer protocols the iPAQ 610 does. It even features the 3 megapixel autofocus camera of its sibling and will also be sold in a no-camera version (iPAQ 910). But since the dimensions are also quite close for both models some price had to be paid in order to make the QWERTY keyboard usable and convenient. In this case the screen size was reduced to 2.46" but luckily the display type and the resolution are left unchanged.
