Two new surveys from GSA, the Global mobile Suppliers Association, confirm the continuing progress of HSDPA deployments worldwide. One lists 140 HSDPA networks at various stages in 64 countries. Of those, 28 networks support speed of 3.6Mbps – and throughput rates will increase during 2007 with planned enhancements by many operators to 14.4Mbps.
A related survey identifies 128 HSDPA-compatible user devices in the market, including 46 phones and 41 PC datacards and USB modems.
