I-PLAY will attempt to create a new ‘how to’ video category for the burgeoning mobile poker sector after signing a deal with poker ‘legend’ Daniel Negreanu
The move continues I-play’s diversification from its heritage of mobile gaming and its drive to become an all-round entertainment company. Last year, it completed a deal with NBC Universal to ‘mobilise’ key franchise owned by the Hollywood studio. That said, I-play and Negreanu will also develop a next gen poker game – and its ASI will be tested against the champ.
Leighton Webb, I-play’s SVP of content strategy and licensing, said: “We are thrilled to be working with someone as accomplished and well-respected as Daniel. The mobile video signals a ground-breaking new industry first, offering bite sized chunks of entertainment to develop the Texas Hold’em aficionado in us all.”
