Misleading spam leads to fine for mBlox

A total of £14,000 was fined against mBlox this week after two separate rulings from Icstis. The first involved promoting adult services. Icstis found the material was misleading - especially over its use of the word "FREE".The second concerned a competition to win a PS2 or an iPod. Icstis found messages were sent unsolicited and it was impossible for punters to unsubscribe. Missing pricing information from the messages also caused criticism.‘These relate to two clients, Carphone Warehouse and Stealthnet, and we¹ll get reimbursed by them,’ commented Ariela Freed, mBlox.
