Mobile Business, the Mobile Channel’s favourite monthly magazine has been acquired by Miles Publishing Limited (MPL) from Turret Group for an undisclosed sum.
MPL, one of the UK’s fastest growing privately owned media houses publish the market leading Comms Business Magazine which addresses the converging voice, data and mobile channels and organise the most successful exhibitions in the marketplace, The Convergence Summit North and South.
MPL Managing Director commented; “Mobile Business is a well regarded high quality magazine which has been published since 1999, the same year I launched Comms Business. With convergence in the voice, data and mobile arenas this acquisition brings more depth to our offering and a greater knowledge base”.
Continuing Bossom said “I am excited about the opportunities that this acquisition will bring, both to our existing customers and to those that we will acquire through the acquisition. We have exciting plans to develop Mobile Business through high quality editorial content both in print and online, through development of the readership base and with a revision of the current pricing structure which will make us more competitive”.
Bossom “Our events have raised the bar over the past few years and we are pleased to announce that we are for the first time, running a new zone which will address the mobility and fixed mobile convergence areas at The Convergence Summit South (7th and 8th October at Sandown Park). Not enough people know us in the mobile space but we will change this over the coming months and we are looking forward to doing so”.
Don Macinnes, Publisher of Mobile Business; “I am really pleased that Mobile Business is moving into the MPL stable as I know that Miles and his team can bring the focus and investment that is needed to take it to the next level”.
