Mobile phones responsible for global food shortages

Mobile phones could now be responsible for global food shortages because of the disorienting effect they have on bees. There’s a worldwide shortage of bees at the moment – a phenomenon called CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder), which translates as “most of the bees have disappeared and no-one knows why” – and no bees means no pollination, which in turn means fewer plants and less food. A very limited study at one US university suggests that bees fail to return to the hive if mobile phones are placed near it, so mobile phones are the cause of famine. Yeah right.
