A clever city-map app under the Rough Guides brand is being preinstalled on Motorola handsets.
The Rough Guides Mobile application was developed by Creativity Software Ltd using ViaMichelin maps. It provides location maps with a neat drill-down interface that includes street level detail and over 15,000 points of information for more than 200 cities in 33 European countries.
It’s not GPS-based and it doesn’t provide routing directions or streetfinders, but it will certainly appeal to the tourist and maybe the casual traveler.
