The new Institute of Microelectronics and Wireless Systems at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, will carry out research into wireless technologies and microelectronics.
The initial batch of 15 research projects include 4G phones and RFID. Uniquely, the Institute will both explore the technology and prototype the systems.
