a 14% increase over the same period last year. The figures, from Gartner Research, give Nokia a 35.7% market share (it sold close to 92m units in the quarter). That’s an increase over 1.8% over the year-ago period. The No.2 spot went to Motorola with an 18.5% share. Gartner expects Nokia to take advantage of Motorola’s weakness during the rest of the year and to maintain its solid performance.
