One of the highlight features of the Glofiish X500+ is its VGA display which offers up to four times the resolution of previous E-TEN handsets. With more pixels on the screen images and movies viewed on the X500+ are sharper and show more detail. Additionally, the X500+ includes a 2-megapixel camera with auto-focus and macro capabilities, allowing users to capture high-resolution photographs and record home-video.
The X500+ is based on the Windows Mobile 6 Professional platform and comes complete with the latest mobile applications for business and leisure. Updated Mobile Office applications add new functions and editing options to help users stay even more productive while working with documents, spreadsheets and presentations on the move, while the new Windows Live for Windows Mobile suite helps them surf the Internet and communicate online.
E-TEN’s suite of in-house developed software comes preloaded on the device, including the new utility, Namecard Manager. Namecard Manager is designed to simplify the process of updating contacts on the X500+. Using the built-in camera Namecard Manager lets users capture an image of a business card, and then uses optical character recognition (OCR) technology to identify and extract contact information, adding it to the device’s contact’s list in just a few easy steps.
As with the original Glofiish X500, the X500+ measures just 113.5 x 60.5 x 15.5 mm and will be available in silver and black.
E-TEN have also released Windows Mobile 6 ROM updates for owners of its own-brand Glofiish X500 and M700 Pocket PC Phones. English, Russian, and French language-localized updates are available. The updates will be delivered via a free download from the Glofiish website, demonstrating the company’s commitment to delivering long-term value to its customers.
