Away from the squabble over Sky channels, Virgin announced slightly higher than expected Q4 sales of just over £1bn. But Virgin Mobile added a meagre 11,100 net customers in the last three months of 2006, compared with 122,700 in Q3. It is gaining contract subscribers but losing ground in prepay; concentrating on higher value contract customers seems to be a matter of policy now at Virgin Mobile.
