Voda no longer the biggest

Vodafone, which for so long has enjoyed the mantle of “the world’s largest mobile phone company”, has been trumped by the seven-year-old China Mobile” now valued at just under £70bn while Vodafone’s recent rocky ride has seen its shares valued at £64bn. China Mobile also claims to have the largest number of subscribers – more than 200m customers against Vodafone’s 186m.
