Lebara Mobile has put together an easy-to-understand prepaid offer with very low prices and excellent quality of service aimed at customers who make frequent international calls and value the convenience doing this from their mobile phone. Lebara Mobile customers save around 50% and 90% per minute on calls to foreign fixed-line and mobile networks respectively when compared to other providers. This means that customers can now often make international calls from their mobile phone at rates lower than those of a fixed-line network.
One of the biggest selling points of Lebara, other than the cost, is that support will be by own language customer service both before and after the purchase.
Lebara is already successfully up and running in Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland, and will now be going directly up against TalkMobile with it’s cheap international calls.
"In March we set out the Vodafone UK strategy to drive revenue growth and, as part of this, our ambitions to grow our wholesale market share." said Tim Stone, director of new business development and wholesale at Vodafone UK.
Lebara’s pricing structure is yet to be released.
