Q If you could change anything about the mobile industry and your role in it, what would it be and why?
A more efficient split of commission payment, based on the full length of contract selling services which moves the industry forward – data, multi-media, content, MMS, video for consumer and business. And I would like to lobby Parliament to legislate on removing the networks’ – this would bring about high quality dealers and stabilise the industry.
Q Cats or dogs?
Dogs.
Q Nokia or Motorola?
Nokia.
Q If you were a mobile phone, which would you be and why?
RIM 8700, the gadget for today’s lifestyle.
Q You’re designing a mobile handset for the future. What functions would it have and why?
‘Bill payer’ – program my mobile phone instructions to make payments anywhere. ‘Mobile Lego’ – gadget bolt-on to turn my mobile phone into an accessory like, a film projector, full digital TV, and music-mixing desk. ‘Send me flowers’ – if you forgot to buy your partner flowers you can send a text which emits the scent of your chosen flower.
Q What ringtone do you currently use?
‘You shook me all night’, AC/DC – it rocks!
Q If you were a ringtone, what would you be and why?
‘Tripping’ by Robbie Williams, because it typifies life.
Q Who inspires you and why?
Marcus Garvey – he proved that anything is possible.
