10,000th order for Gamma’s Hosted IP service FeaturePlus

Gamma has announced it has recently taken its 10,000th order for FeaturePlus, the company’s Hosted IP Telephony service for businesses that operate from small offices or branch offices. Since its launch in 2006, the service has provided connectivity and call handling to thousands of businesses through the channel, with the most recent release, FeaturePlus Premium, centred around the latest SIP-enabled handsets from Cisco.

John Ledgister from Gamma reseller Sky Blue Telecom commented, “Gamma has always been really helpful and pro-active in training our business teams on the technical, support and sales and marketing aspects of FeaturePlus and we have been enjoying success with what has proven to be a very popular product, for several years now. The numbering flexibility, ease of installation, and excellent value over traditional systems have allowed us to deliver this hosted solution into a variety of markets including the travel industry, wholesale manufacturing and temporary sites. We’re excited about the latest Cisco handset based service and look forward to continued growth in this area.”

James Bushell, Senior Product Manager at Gamma, commented, “Gamma was an early entrant into the hosted market and we’ve reached a number key milestones with the service that we’re proud of. Channel partners are really starting to demonstrate, with vigour, the various ways of making a success of Hosted Telephony. We are seeing sales focusing on calls and subscription bundles (with 4 to 5 handsets on average), packages put to together to look and feel like a PBX sale and more recently propositions that leverage the quality message and Cisco brand of the FeaturePlus Premium offering.”

When Gamma released FeaturePlus Premium in June this year, it also introduced a promotional broadband offer designed to help the channel partners bundle together high quality access along with the hosted service. This was in response to certain partners looking to create bundled offerings over dedicated access, simplifying the customer proposition, and improving the support they can provide based on an end-to-end telephony solution purchased from Gamma.
