2009: The Year of Audio Conferencing say Nimans

Distributor Nimans says 2009 will be a year of massive growth in audio conferencing, fuelled by two key factors. Nimans is predicting a double digit sales percentage rise as companies look to cut costs and react to increased pressure to reduce their carbon footprints.

“Conferencing has never traditionally been a very proactive sell, it’s always been viewed as a peripheral item,” said Nimans’ Head of Conferencing Sales, Ian Brindle. “Great progress has been made with resellers actively engaging with their customers and highlighting why they need to invest in this type of technology which provides a viable alternative to face-to-face meetings and has the potential to pay for itself very quickly.”

He continued: “In the present climate we are getting a bigger uptake of dealers who are promoting the time and cost saving benefits of audio conferencing. As a company we are working very closely with them to provide the support they need to go out and sell conferencing on a much more consistent basis.

“Return on investment is one of the biggest areas that needs to be highlighted. In the current climate, conferencing is an area where there will be double digit growth throughout 2009, without a shadow of a doubt. As times get harder the opportunities increase and more and more resellers will get involved.”

Brindle concluded: “In addition to companies tightening their belts, the green message raises awareness of a global issue we see and hear in the news on an almost daily basis. Conferencing can play a key part in reducing carbon footprints which again adds to its appeal and will raise sales in 2009.”
