20:20 Mobile and Doro Sign International Distribution Deal

20:20 Mobile, the distributor of mobile phones and accessories has extended its cooperation with consumer electronics company Doro - to distribute the company’s range of mobile phones in new key markets.

The extended partnership means that Doro mobiles and accessories will now be distributed through 20:20 Mobile’s channels including; retail, online and corporate business. This deal covers a large number of the distributor’s operational territories and adds the UK, Italy and Turkey, plus expanding Eastern European markets. It also bolsters the already active countries including France, Spain, Republic of Ireland, the Nordics and UAE. As part of the new agreement 20:20 Mobile will fulfil orders for the telecoms channel driven by Doro’s recently launched UK TV advertising campaign ‘Brilliantly Simple’.

James Browning, Managing Director for 20:20 Mobile, said: “Doro’s range of mobile handsets meet the real needs of real people, making them a unique yet valuable proposition to retailers. With our substantial experience, robust logistics network and ability to provide a solid support service we hope to further strengthen that relationship.”

There are over 9.6 million people in the UK aged over 65 and 77% of those aged 65 to 75 have a mobile phone. However recent studies show that 70% of these find their current device either unsuitable or unusable.

Chris Millington, MD Doro UK, said: “The senior mobile market is a huge growth opportunity in light of the rapidly aging global population. Our devices help people to stay connected with their social and support networks. Something relatively basic in a product’s design – such as increased flexibility to suit eye or hearing conditions, concave buttons, or ergonomics – can mean a huge difference to the end user.”
