20:20 Mobile, distributor of mobile phones and accessories, has opened a new Far East sourcing and operations facility in Shenzhen, China, to support continued business growth in the European mobile market and allow it to work closely with manufacturers in the region. The new facility will enable 20:20 to work with existing suppliers as well as source new and innovative mobile products that are being developed in the region.

The Shenzhen facility will include a packaging and distribution centre as well as state of the art product testing lines. All products that pass through the facility will be subject to a new three stage testing and quality assurance process to ensure that only the highest quality products are dispatched to customers in Europe.

James Browning, 20:20 Mobile managing director, commented: “The opening of the new facilities in China is a major step for 20:20 Mobile. It shows our commitment to work with existing suppliers to ensure best of breed products are delivered directly to our customers and also puts us close to the developers of new and innovative products of the future. In addition it will enable us to increase supply chain efficiency by packaging all varieties of products at one location.”

20:20 Mobile has worked with manufacturers in the region for over 10 years with many of them providing over 500,000 units to their European customers.

“By working closely with suppliers we are able to provide more flexible and cost effective solutions for our customers throughout the UK and Europe,” concluded Browning.

Staff at the new facility in Shenzhen will include new product supply specialists as well as a quality control team that will ensure that all products are tested rigorously to ensure they meet the high quality expectations of 20:20 Mobile, their customers and users.
