24 Seven Cloud launches Microsoft Teams integration application

Leeds based Telecoms company 24 Seven Cloud has launched Pod Fusion, a connector application that allows Microsoft Teams users to initiate calls to any number from within Microsoft Teams with no additional Microsoft License requirements.

The application is powered by Metaswitch, the virtualised network software and communications solutions provider that was acquired by Microsoft last year.

David Samuel (pictured), managing director of 24 Seven Cloud, explained, “The problem with multiple apps, is that switching between them causes user friction in terms of usability. The new Pod Fusion app allows users familiar with the Microsoft Teams environment to initiate Pod phone calls and take full advantage of the rich telephony features that the Pod Unified Communications platform can offer. As well as a richer user experience compared to MS Teams Telephony, and the ability to easily add on best-in-class solutions like call recording, auto attendant and call centre functionality, it also brings really compelling cost benefits for every business.”

24 Seven Cloud said the launch of Pod Fusion is the first of many product launches in an ambitious new strategy developed by over the last six months to help businesses work better and more cost efficiently during the current homeworking guidelines due to the ongoing pandemic.

Samuel added, “The unique aspect of our app is that it enables calling within Microsoft Teams without the need to pay for additional Microsoft Licenses including the costly E3, E5 and Business calling package add-ons. The other real game changer here is that our unique device agnostic platform can support and adopt any SIP phone or device. This means that costly hardware upgrades are not required, and businesses and resellers can utilise their existing hardware inventory without any more CAPEX expenditure.”

24 Seven Cloud’s new Pod Fusion product is available to businesses through the company’s reseller partners as a free of charge addition to the company’s existing platform.
