3.5 Million Brits set for VoIP

VoIP is poised to revolutionise the telecoms industry, according to Continental Research’s Spring 2006 Internet Report, released today. 1.8 million internet users have used VoIP in the past 12 months and a further 1.9 million who have not already done so say they are likely to within the next 12 months.

James Myring, Associate Director, Continental Research, said: “Several industries such as travel, retail & banking have been seriously changed by the Internet, and now the telecoms industry looks set to feel the full force of this competition”.
