Dorset based telecoms company 4Com will be selecting a deserving cause after appealing to Dorset charities to give reasons why they should benefit from a £15,000 donation. During July local charities have been completing an online web page giving reasons why their project or cause should benefit from the donation.

Over the 15-16th August a brave team of 4Com employees will take on the Welsh 3 Peak Challenge by climbing Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan within a 15 hour time frame, with a guaranteed £15,000 donation from the 4Com Foundation going to one deserving local charity.

This is the latest in a series of fund raising activities where staff from 4Com have overcome their fears and pushed themselves to the limit, all in the name of charity. Previous events have included completing the Lyke Wake Walk in 40 hours, a 30 hour run, row and ride and the UK 3 Peaks Challenge with beneficiaries including Variety The Children’s Charity and Linwood School amongst others.

4Com are now looking forward to their latest challenge and training is now well underway with planned walks taking place in the build up to the August event. Led by Dean Cartledge Telemarketing Director, a team of 15 employees will be heading to Wales and he commented, “The team are looking forward to another exciting challenge and have been training hard. Our staff surprise me every year with their dedication and selflessness when raising money for deserving causes. It’s such a pleasure to lead the team.”
