Value-added IT security distributor 4Sec Group announced today a new agreement to bring Stormshield’s next-generation solutions to the UK channel.
The new partnership follows 400% growth for Stormshield in the past twelve months.
“This partnership will accelerate the pace of our commercial expansion in the UK and Ireland,” says John Farebrother, Country Manager, UK & Ireland at Stormshield. “This year we’re aiming for double growth and we have every confidence that 4Sec Group, Alpha Generation Distribution and 4Serv will play key roles in achieving that target.”
Stormshield provides organisations with security for networks, data and endpoints.
“I’m delighted to add Stormshield to our roster,” says Grahame Smee, Group Managing Director at 4Sec Group. “We don’t carry competing products and Stormshield brings something new to our partners – network, data and endpoint security that’s margin rich while being priced appropriately for small and medium businesses. Stormshield is the perfect fit for our current ecosystem and our medium to long term strategy.”
Building on several years of experience in both firewalls and UTM, Alpha Generation Distribution will bring traditional deployment of Stormshield to its network of resellers, as well as working to build new leads for partners. Meanwhile, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) will be supported through 4Serv, a new offering under the 4Sec Group that is built from the ground up for service providers.
“We’ve seen the UTM and firewall space change a lot in recent months and years,” says Chris Walsh, Sales Director at Alpha Generation Distribution. “In some cases, partners are being squeezed to single digit margins on their existing solutions, or have become disgruntled with ownership and changing channel strategies. I believe Stormshield gives our partners a viable alternative from a vendor with real heritage.”
