Poole-based telecommunications firm VoIP Unlimited has expanded its technical support team with the appointment of Alastair Chamorro.
Previously at Currys in Dorchester, Alastair joins the VoIP Unlimited support desk team as line support technician and will be responsible for liaising with the firm’s independent IT dealer network in order to provide support with VoIP technology as and when required. He will be the first port of call for customer issues and will oversee call routing matters, broadband connectivity and any installation queries that arise via any of the IT companies that supply VoIP Unlimited services directly to customers.
Alastair has a strong passion for creative elements of information and communications technology (ICT) and to strengthen his skills is currently studying independently for an Open University degree in computer science and software development.
Mark Pillow, managing director at VoIP Unlimited, says: “We have been providing professional VoIP and IP connectivity services to businesses for more than eight years. Since 2013, the business has seen rapid expansion in terms of recruitment as we have ambitious plans to be a leading and most trusted service provider in the UK. We are delighted to welcome Alastair to the team and look forward to assisting him to increase his skills base and be part of the VoIP Unlimited team.”
