A month of development releases from ICUK

ICUK is excited to announce the release of version 10 of its in-house developed Control Panel platform. The platform provides services across its portfolio of white label broadband, telecoms and hosting.

Company Director, Paul Barnett, explains "In previous major releases we have tended to release multiple new developments in one go. The problem in doing so is that some of these key or helpful

features can be overlooked or missed. To help overcome this we are trying a staged release with new features being added and announced on a daily basis for a month. Alongside the major features will be hundreds of tiny improvements and changes."

Not wanting to spoil some of the new features, they embrace all the ICUK white label reseller platforms. Many of the new features are the result of feedback received from existing resellers. Director and Head of Development, Tim O'Donovan commented "We are unique in this market place in as much as we're not reliant on third party interfaces. We are able to listen to our reseller channel and develop the facilities that they and their customers demand."

The culmination of this latest release will be ICUK's very own invoicing and billing platform for use by resellers. Developed from the feedback resellers were supplying that billing was problematic, or time consuming, this new bolt-on can automate the billing process for resellers. Invoices are raised and branded as the reseller and can be used in conjunction not only with ICUK's own white label reseller services, but for billing third party applications and services.

Shaun Donnelly, the developer in charge of this project, comments "This has been an extremely important task for us to get right. We know that a large number of our resellers find billing difficult, and that there is a fair chance that they could build their entire business around this feature. We needed to ensure that we overcame these challenges with a simple interface, which was useable by multiple levels of staff, that could generate automated and manual invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders."

The facilities of the invoicing platform don't stop with the generation of invoices, instead it provides customer management and credit control facilities. Clients too can benefit with online access to invoices within their existing control panels, allowing to keep a track on costs, as ensures the reseller can operate in a environmentally friendly manner. These client control panels are already in use providing customers visibility of all the hosting, broadband and telecom facilities already purchased from a reseller, via a single portal login.

Further announcements regarding the invoicing platform will be made at its official launch in April.
