Aastra Hits the Road

Over 100 representatives from Aastra’s top resellers attended a series of training road shows hosted by Aastra and its complementary vendor partners, AVST, Oak and Frontier Systems. Held at venues in Cardiff, Camberley and Manchester, the purpose of the events was to highlight how Aastra’s IP enabled IntelliGate system works with other vendor applications to provide even greater business benefits to customers.

AVST explained the CallXpress application, a comprehensive voicemail, call processing and unified messaging platform that gives users the power to communicate and collaborate more productively. CallXpress allows for users to receive and respond to messages anytime and anywhere.

Oak focused on its ACD Solution that now provides IntelliGate Call Manager with real time wall boards monitoring ACD activity. A full management package is also available offering multiple reports on all ACD aspects.

Frontier Systems reviewed the opportunities available using VoiceFlex VxDSL SIP Trunks, which provide low cost, ISDN replacement lines to provide the best possible call quality over the internet.

Aastra’s National Dealer Sales Manager, Viv Singh commenting on the training roadshow said: “The events were a great success. We had a fantastic turnout from dealers and it was a unique opportunity to get our Vendor Alliances in one room and actually demonstrate exactly how we all work together to deliver a complete solution. After many years of experience working with the Channel I have an appreciation for what tools a dealer needs to be able to ‘solution-sell’ effectively. The most important tools are knowledge and an understanding of what’s available and can be achieved.“

Steve Gore of AVST said, “We were pleased to be part of Aastra’s training road show. Only by working together with our key alliances can we properly demonstrate our product’s full capabilities and benefits. We had very positive feedback from the dealers who could see the complete picture.”
