Aastra is finalist in the prestigious Comms Awards

In this year’s prestigious Comms Business magazine awards Aastra, a company at the forefront of the enterprise communication market, has been nominated as a finalist in the Most Innovative Channel Product (hardware) category. The nomination is for the innovative Aastra 400 series of IP communication servers.

The Aastra 400 series embraces Aastra’s innovative ‘OneNumber’ Unified Communications solution, allowing users to receive all their calls on any device using one single number. The Aastra 400 series combines a full range of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) applications, mobility solutions and user centric devices into a single solution. The embedded UCC applications are a key strength of the system, helping SMBs to increase efficiency and productivity.

Aastra 400 also aids team work, with group voicemail boxes, instant messaging (IM), presence management and conference call capabilities. In a major innovation Aastra has recently introduced the Aastra Mobile Client Plus (AMC+) and the Aastra Mobile Client Controller (AMCC) for the Aastra 400 series. AMC+ is Aastra’s fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) solution allowing SMEs to integrate smart phones into an Aastra 400 series comms infrastructure.

Commenting on the finalist status Alan Reeve, Managing Director of Aastra UK and Ireland said “It’s a terrific boost to be chosen as finalists in the prestigious Comms Business Awards.
