Abtec Launches Partner Services Division

January 2011 marks the 20 year anniversary of Abtec Network Systems, an East Midlands based networking provider specialising in telephony, network and data convergence solutions.

Having started in the Managing Director’s spare bedroom in 1991, the company now employs 20 sales and technical people in their purpose built, state of the art premises just outside Market Harborough in Leicestershire.

It is Abtec‘s success in the mid-market sector, delivering initiates such as virtualisation, which has driven the decision to launch a separate Partner Services division, purely focussed on reseller and channel business. The company has worked with several resellers to build comprehensive solutions, which in turn have helped these business’s to win projects which they would previously have been unable to bid for.

In recent years the company has developed strong relationships with key reseller organisations, which leverage Abtec’s technological skills in order to compliment the reseller’s existing solution base. As a BT Distributor for several years, Abtec have a broad knowledge in implementing and supporting Wide Area Networking technologies as well as offering bespoke wireless survey and implementation services to organisations such as Siemens.

“Our approach is to build trusted, long term relationships with our resellers by offering our complete portfolio of Voice and Video, Networking and Virtualisation solutions” says Andy Beynon, Managing Director. “This means that, in a market where customers are consolidating their supplier relationships, traditional data and voice resellers can offer their existing clients total infrastructure solutions without the need for investment in additional products, accreditations, services and skills.”

“We fully respect our reseller’s relationship with their customers and therefore add value wherever required, even to the extent where we white label our engineering and maintenance services.”

The business has continued to grow steadily despite two recessions by offering a diverse range of products and solutions. “Not only does this help our resellers fend off their competition, but also adds significant profit from additional revenue streams within their existing client base,” says Beynon.

To support the launch of the Partner Services division, Abtec have recruited a team from within the channel to ensure that resellers are given the best support and advice available. They will be holding a series of seminars and events for resellers in order to showcase the services on offer.
