Adaptive Planning drives development of its new UK and Ireland operation

Adaptive Planning has announced four senior appointments to drive the development of the company’s new direct UK and Ireland operation. Ian Preston joins as Vice President of Sales for Adaptive Planning in the UK & Ireland, Corinne Steer as Director of Marketing, Ron Owen as Solutions Specialist, and Lee Nelson as Regional Sales Manager.

Adaptive Planning now has over 1,500 active cloud CPM customers - five times more than any other vendor, with 300 partners and 45,000 users in 65 countries around the world. Adaptive Planning drove more than 90 percent year over year growth in new software bookings in 2012, and is the #5 fastest-growing software company in Silicon Valley over the last 5 years according to Deloitte. With more than 300 customers outside the US, international business was also up 150 percent year over year for 2012.

Adaptive Planning is used by some of the world’s most recognised brands such as Siemens, Philips, and Konica Minolta, as well as high-growth companies such as Jive Software, DocuSign and NetSuite.

“Today’s financial executives across the globe are frustrated with their existing CPM solutions, whether Excel spreadsheets or legacy on-premise applications, and are searching for something new and better. As organisations look to be more agile in times of economic uncertainty - and to drive growth during recovery - we’ve established our new dedicated European operation to address the growing need for cloud-based planning and reporting solutions in the UK and Ireland. We’ve brought on board a particularly strong team of proven executives – with in-depth enterprise software, CPM, business intelligence and SaaS skills – to accelerate our growth within the region,” commented Adaptive Planning’s CEO, John Herr.

“The fact that we’ve been able to attract senior staff from organisations such as SAP, Oracle/Hyperion and Infor confirms the incredible industry interest in our cloud CPM solutions. We welcome Ian, Corinne, Ron and Lee to Adaptive Planning, and we look forward to strong growth from our new UK and Ireland operation,” he added.
