Adrian Grilli Appointed as New FCS Chairman

On his appointment Adrian Grilli said, “FCS is growing on a broad front across the communications services industry and we have distinct sectors in spectrum and business radio on one hand and mobile, fixed and IP telephony on the other. To boost our representation in my role as chairman I shall champion the spectrum services sector and I am pleased to announce that Justin Orde, Joint Managing Director of Spitfire Network Services, has been appointed as Deputy Chairman to specifically champion the needs of the mobile, fixed and IP telephony members.

“I would like to pay special thanks to Ted Beddoes who has stepped down after two years in office for his leadership and support for the whole FCS membership. I trust I will be able to build on the initiatives Ted established and develop them further for the benefit of the growing FCS membership.

“The FCS Industry Forum is already established to bring together the chairs of the member groups who each represent their sectors vigorously and in our new roles Justin and I will add weight to their arguments.”

Jacqui Brookes OBE, FCS CEO, in welcoming the new appointments said, “FCS is privileged to have support from Adrian and Justin who have each served on the FCS board for three years. Adrian brings a wide experience from UK Government, regulation and industry and has links with EU and US telecommunications markets bringing an international perspective to the regulation of our industry.

“Justin with his experience of the mobile, fixed and IP sectors has ensured that service providers are represented in BT’s 21CN Steering Group, on NICC and in the development of new service provider products.”
