Alcatel has further expanded its sales team with three senior appointments. Chris Tucker, Chris Derham and Neal Humphrey will support Alcatel’s business partners to help them drive sales, particularly in the areas of convergence and applications.
Chris Tucker takes up the role of commercial channel sales manager, where he will work closely with five of Alcatel’s premium business partners – Amillan, EchoTTML, EDS, NextiraOne and Switch Communications. Before joining Alcatel, Tucker was sales and marketing manager for Premises Network Management, where he helped the company achieve a 30 percent increase in sales from 2004 to 2005, and also win the award for Ericsson Reseller of the Year 2005.
Chris Derham joins Alcatel as data channel manager, which will involve supporting the company’s data and convergence partners and recruiting new business partners. Highly experienced in data networking, Derham has worked as an independent communications consultant for the past four years and prior to this he worked for Alcatel as a systems engineer.
New territory sales manager at Alcatel, Neal Humphrey, will support four of its premium business partners – Freedom, IBSL, Redbridge and South West Communications – with their new business efforts. Neal returns to Alcatel and brings in-depth experience to the role, having previously worked as business development manager for Redstone and before this, NextiraOne.
“The expansion of our sales team is also an expansion of our skills, knowledge and expertise, which will prove advantageous for all parties involved,” said Graeme Allan VP northern Europe, Alcatel. “With such a strong team supporting them, our business partners can be more aggressive in their outreach and ultimately reap the benefits of increased sales.”
