Alcatel Develops New Consultants Programme

Alcatel has today announced the launch of a new consultants programme designed to raise Alcatel's profile within the UK consultancy community. The company is engaging with more than 300 consultants involved in the communications industry, and has appointed Cliff Warder as consultant programme manager to oversee activities. Warder is responsible for the design and implementation of the new programme, and is supported by a virtual team of 30 people.

Alcatel has also created a dedicated website for consultants which provides information on their complete product portfolio, education on the latest solutions available to the marketplace, and alerts on forthcoming seminars and events.

"While many consultants are familiar with Alcatel, they perhaps do not appreciate the full range of solutions and services on offer, and this is an area that Alcatel is keen to address," said Warder. "We're still in the early stages of implementation, but so far the response has been very encouraging, and we're confident that this will improve even further now the consultants website has gone live."

"By developing relationships with consultant organisations and providing greater product education, we hope to raise the profile and brand awareness of Alcatel and its business partners - further strengthening our position in the UK market," added Peter Tebbutt, UK marketing director, Alcatel.
