Alcatel-Lucent Launches Converged Partner Programme

To promote greater uptake of convergence within the UK marketplace and encourage more end-users to become dynamic enterprises, Alcatel-Lucent has created a new partner programme which overhauls its existing business partner contracts and makes it easier for partners to equip themselves with the full Alcatel-Lucent portfolio of enterprise solutions.

The Converged Partner Programme, which was initially unveiled at Alcatel-Lucent’s Enterprise Forum 2009, will be introduced in the UK on July 6th, preceding a European-wide launch later in the year. The programme will provide partners with one standardised contract covering the entire enterprise product group portfolio. It will also offer new incentives designed to help push sales growth in strategic areas such as data networking, as well as provide additional marketing tools and collateral for partners.

Alcatel-Lucent has one of the most extensive enterprise portfolios in the industry, offering a complete range of communications solutions including IP telephony, fixed and wireless networking, contact centre, mobility and unified communications, security and network management tools. The new, shorter contracts will make it easier for companies to partner with Alcatel-Lucent, as well as enabling them quickly and simply add and remove products based on business need – with no limitations as to which products they can take on. Accordingly, each partner’s contract objectives will now focus specifically around the products and services they offer.

In addition, the Converged Partner Programme offers discounts based on the number of product specialisations partners are able to achieve, encouraging partners to expand their portfolios and help more end-users become dynamic enterprises by transforming their day-to-day business processes.

“The new partner programme is designed to be as open and competitive as possible, encouraging business partners to think big and capitalise on the significant marketplace opportunities for complete converged communications solutions,” said David Parker, VP for Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise activities, UK&I. “Just as we’re committed to help end-users save money and make money, the same is equally true of our partner base. We’re looking to help UK partners expand their businesses through greater product diversification, while rewarding them for the additional investments they make in Alcatel-Lucent with incentives along the way.”
