Following on from a successful sailing trip the previous year Comms-care’s Directors and Senior Managers were pleased to welcome on board a larger number of the sales team who had worked very hard to achieve their challenging incentive targets. In order to accommodate this increase in numbers Comms-care were required to charter a larger yacht to the one on their previous sailing day.
Ben Davies, Sales Director at Comms-care explains “We are continuously looking at ways to motivate and inspire the sales team through incentive events as it gives them that extra drive and desire to succeed. The sailing events always prove popular with the team and it is a great way for them to spend time with their colleagues out of the office but still in a competitive environment.”
The day started with Bacon Rolls and Refreshments followed by a safety briefing from the Skipper. Once boarded the Comms-care crew set sail from Portsmouth Harbour heading into the Solent for the Isle of Wight. It was a hands on experience for the whole team who were worked hard by their Skipper to ensure the yacht was always sailing at an optimum speed and the whole Comms-care crew were working together as a team.
Once again the team was accompanied by Comms-care Chairman, Peter Lloyd who is well accustomed to sailing and was pleased to be able to welcome and encourage the less experienced sailors on the day. Peter commented: “It is a pleasure for Comms-care to reward those who go that extra mile with such a memorable team incentive. Everyone really enjoyed the day and got involved in all aspects of managing the yacht. I look forward to welcoming more of the sales team aboard next year.”
