Allot Channel Program Builds Profitable Business for Partners

Allot Communications, a provider of IP service optimisation solutions based on deep packet inspection (DPI), has announced its new worldwide Channel Partner Program that positions systems integrators and value-added resellers to win business in the rapidly growing DPI market. The program combines market-leading DPI products with expanded marketing and sales support, and other incentives to create an unmatched value proposition for partners.

“As the leading supplier of DPI solutions to service providers and with thousands of products installed at enterprise customers, Allot is in a unique position to help resellers build a profitable business in this fast-growing market,” said Jacob Elisha, Sales Director, EMEA, Allot Communications. “Carriers, service providers and enterprises are all looking to optimise network and application performance. The Allot Channel Partner Program brings together products and support resources to enable partners to drive sales and develop effective, long-term relationships with customers.”

The Allot channel program is comprised of three partner certification categories (Elite, Premium and Authorised) in a two-tier distribution system. Each partner is assigned an Allot channel manager and the program includes a range of sales and technical training, joint marketing activities, technical support and sales lead generation initiatives. The channel program focuses on systems integrators and resellers with experience in selling networking solutions to service providers, web hosting companies, ISPs, cable providers, wireless carriers and enterprises in a wide range of industries, including government, financial services and education.

"More and more enterprises, network operators and carriers realise the value of regulating their network traffic but traffic management is a constantly moving target; numerous, ever more complex applications are constantly coming online. We’re here to ensure our customers get the maximum return on investment, with the right policies in place to combat network congestion," explained Ian Kilpatrick, Chairman of UK reseller Wick Hill. "Allot’s support network has been instrumental in helping us meet those customer needs and the Allot Channel Partner Program promises to extend this relationship still further. The program will help increase knowledge of the systems, share sales leads and improve the sales process. By combining resources in this way, our customers will benefit from the very best sales advice, system expertise and after sales support."

Allot's NetEnforcer devices thoroughly inspect, monitor and control the traffic on wide area networks (WAN) and broadband networks - per application and per user. NetEnforcer identifies hundreds of applications and protocols, as well as user profiles in real time, enabling customers to dynamically set policies and shape bandwidth usage.

Additionally, Allot has recently announced initial deployments of its high-performance Service Gateway, Omega Series, which combines Allot’s powerful DPI engine with an array of services into a fully integrated, carrier-class platform. Within the Service Gateway, application and subscriber information for each traffic flow is identified by a single DPI process that can then efficiently dispatch the flow to an array of additional services and actions such as parental control and virus detection.

Market researcher Yankee Group forecasts significant growth for the DPI market matching the overall growth for broader policy management solutions. Yankee Group estimated the DPI market totaled approximately £62 million in 2006, and said it is poised to reach £120-142 million by the end of 2008.
