Anniversary Marks New era for Voyager Networks

Unified Comms
Technology solutions provider and managed services specialist Voyager Networks is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year with the appointment of a new management team and a firm focus on restoring the brand’s once-enviable reputation.

Voyager has struggled to maintain its early successes, and revenues in recent years have declined. Now however, with a new management team in place and substantial investment by two of the original co-owners, it looks as though the company still has plenty to offer.

“It can’t be denied that Voyager has faced some significant challenges over the last couple of years”, says new managing director Sean Huggett, who previously held senior positions at Adtech Global and Telindus.

A significant restructuring exercise, new premises and a new focus under Huggett’s watchful and experienced eye is seeing Voyager emerge with a spark and determination that has been lacking in recent years.

“The new management team has the knowledge, talent and vision to not only restore faith in the company, but to regain its market share within the industry”, he says.

Two of the original owners, Jonny Shaw and Nigel Williams have stepped back from day-to-day operations to become co-chairmen; between them investing more than £1 million in additional funding as working capital, to support the new management team. Williams says he is as committed as ever and is confident of seeing an excellent return on his investment. “For two decades, we’ve demonstrated our expertise in unified comms, network infrastructure and IT security”, he says. “We have clients today who have been with us for many years and we’re looking forward to taking them with us into this new phase for Voyager”.
