Ascom UK’s successful start to channel penetration

Robert Wood, Managing Director for Ascom UK is on a mission to boost sales through a deeper penetration into the channel and has formed a strategic partnership with communication solutions specialist ANT Telecom in what has been described as a ‘logical step’ in providing an increased awareness of Ascom’s wireless solutions portfolio.

In the past Ascom UK has successfully focused its energy through direct sales and now wishes to gain a greater market share by targeting resellers and distributors who can bring best value to Ascom’s business.

“Ascom are very dealer orientated in other countries, the UK are targeting securing a significant market share over the next few years. Having market leading products enables us to generate good margins for our Partner companies whilst remaining competitive in the market,” Wood explains.

Paul Smith, Managing Director of ANT Telecom states their decision to partner with Ascom was due to “the many synergies between the businesses and the exciting products currently available and in the pipeline (including IP DECT & VoWiFi). The complementing suite of alarm management tools enables infinite possibilities for connecting to legacy systems and technology along with the very latest protocols such as SIP and therefore solutions should “fit” into the majority of customers’ needs and budgets”.

This can be seen as the start of many lucrative partnerships and Wood sees the partnership with ANT Telecom as a positive move into the channel arena.
