ATC Wins Access to £85M Public Sector Telecoms Market

AT Communications has been awarded the status of approved supplier for third party telecoms maintenance by OGCbuying.solutions under the Telecom Networks Framework which was launched in January 2008.

This approval is significant for ATC as it provides the Group with access to the public sector telecoms market, which is valued at £85m per annum. ATC has the largest independent engineering team in the UK and currently manages maintenance contracts for major blue chip clients including BT, Sainsbury’s and Somerfield.

OGCbuying.solutions, an Executive Agency of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) in the Treasury, provides a professional procurement service to public sector organisations, including central government, local government, health and education.

Phil Matthews, Category Manager for Network Hardware at OGCbuying.solutions said: “The set-up of the Telecoms Framework allows public sector members to buy with confidence from pre-qualified, approved suppliers who deliver a combination of quality and value for money. We are delighted to have approved ATC for third party telecoms maintenance.”

Alex Tupman, CEO of ATC, added: ”The appointment of ATC further underlines the breadth of our engineering skills and services, as both end users and carriers increasingly prefer to outsource maintenance services. It also provides us with privileged access to the public sector market and joint marketing initiatives, enabling us to continue to grow our services revenues in 2008 and beyond.”
