Atia Secure PCT Infrastructure Business

Atia Communications are deploying hosted voice services and infrastructure to UK Primary Care Trusts (PCT’s)

The infrastructure is to support the first UK health centres to provide GP services from 8am to 8pm, 365 days a year. Services include call recording, advanced call routing, IP Telephony and IVR services to PCT’s based throughout the UK. The service will support the NHS initiative to provide faster care services to patients, and will support a network of walk in health centres to be based regionally.

Sites are now live in South Yorkshire, and Cornwall. These locations are receiving voice applications through a dedicated hosted platform based in The Midlands, managed by Atia. A further 3 health locations will come on line in the next few months. There are ongoing plans to increase the scope of the platform to cover several more PCT’s in the latter part of 2009 and 2010.

A managed service is being provided by Atia Communications to include all elements of voice delivery. The solution includes IP Telephony, Connectivity (WAN and SIP), Support and Locally based IT services. Atia Communications won the contract in July 2009, beating BT and Cisco in the process. Users went live in under 4 weeks, demonstrating the ability of Atia Communications to deliver mission critical services in record time.
