Audiocodes and Azlan Address the Growing UK UC Market

AudioCodes, a provider of VoIP technologies and voice network products and Azlan, the enterprise division of Computer 2000 (Tech Data), have announced that they have signed a distribution agreement to provide AudioCodes products and solutions for the growing Unified Communications (UC) market in the UK and Ireland.

Analyst Synergy’s most recent Enterprise Voice report forecasts global revenue growth rates of up to 6.6 percent annually in the coming years with the overall UC market growing to $11.6 billion by 2015. According to Datamonitor, the Unified Communications market in the UK is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9 percent between 2011 and 2013, focused mainly in the financial market, followed by energy and utilities verticals. As growth in UC spending is set to continue, the joint agreement will enable AudioCodes and Azlan to expand their product offering and network base.

The agreement enables Azlan to offer AudioCodes products and solutions which are interoperable with all major PBX and IPPBX vendors in the market including the new Microsoft Lync Server. AudioCodes Multi-Service Business Gateways (MSBG) and Enterprise Session Border Controllers (E-SBC) offer converged voice and data products with a set of capabilities, such as network access, routing, media gateway and security – in one single product, generating a cutting-edge solution that enterprises can leverage for simple and cost-effective implementation of converged IP network and Unified Communications solutions.

Joel Chimoindes, Director of UC at Azlan commented: “AudioCodes is a leading player in the converged VoIP and data networking market and this agreement brings a new dimension to our UC portfolio. As an existing Avaya, Cisco and Microsoft distributor, we already have an extensive capability in enterprise VoIP and networking solutions. The addition of AudioCodes to our range enables us to offer more choice to our partner community, which we will continue to support by making full use of the skills of our large and capable team.”

Azlan Senior Solutions Architect, Chris Ovett added: “Our relationship with AudioCodes removes one of the most prominent barriers to adoption of Unified Communications – the ability to unify legacy technologies with the very latest UC solutions. This means that resellers can extend the life of PBXs that are still under contract and enable migration between old and new IP based voice systems for their customers.”

“We are pleased to become part of the Azlan portfolio of solutions while expanding their offering for UC with the wide suite of AudioCodes VoIP products such as Media Gateways, Enterprise SBC, IP Phones and Mobility applications,” said Nimrod Borovsky, Vice President of Marketing at AudioCodes. “Over the past two decades AudioCodes has focused on solutions for the VoIP market, enabling us to offer a complete set of VoIP solutions which are fully based on AudioCodes DSP technology. Our solid partnership with Azlan will extend our ability to design and implement our enhanced offering for the UC market and solve challenges that enterprises are currently facing with the migration to all IP networks.”
