Avaya will focus on “People, Partners and Customers” to ensure success in 2018 and beyond, senior executives told more than 200 delegates from the partner community at the London stage of the Avaya EDGE World Tour. The event concluded with the Partner of the Year Awards, with partners being recognised for their outstanding support, contribution and commitment to innovation.

The Avaya EDGE World Tour comes at an exciting time for Avaya, following its restructuring and listing as a public company. For 2018, Avaya is focused on building on its positions in contact centre (CC) and unified communications (UC), while increasing investments in emerging technologies that will meet the evolving needs of its customers and drive growth for Avaya and its partners.

Ioan MacRae, UK Managing Director, said: “By leveraging our investment in cloud offerings, and our advancements in disruptive technologies like AI and blockchain, we are ready to equip our customers, partners, and teams with the tools to meet today’s digital business needs. I am proud to say that I believe the UK team is in its strongest state ever, and is ready to work closely with our partners and customers to transform the communications landscape.”

Avaya will provide partners with opportunities to grow revenue and margins this year, MacRae told delegates, including the #Loyalthy2gether programme, which is designed to help Avaya’s most valuable asset – its customer base on older platforms. The programme provides CS1000 customers with a range of options to take their communications and collaboration solutions capabilities to the next level, enabling fast and secure digital transformation of the customer and employee experience.

The highlight of the EDGE event was the UK Partner of the Year Awards, which celebrated leaders across a range of categories for outstanding growth, innovation and deployments. The following winners were announced:

Fadi Moubarak, Vice President, Channels, Avaya International, said: “I’d like to congratulate all of our award winners for their commitment to customers and their passion for results over the past year. Meeting the partners at the Avaya EDGE World Tour events across EMEA has been an inspiring experience, as I’ve seen first-hand the massive energy and appetite for innovation and growth that our partners have, and their commitment to work with Avaya to give our customers the technologies they need to succeed.”

Reflecting the focus on people, partners and customers, this year’s awards also honoured respective winners’ account managers within Avaya, highlighting the journey that both Avaya and partners have been on to ensure their customers’ success, and under the banner of Avaya’s Loyalthy2Gether program.

Steve Joyner, EU Channel Lead, Avaya International, said: “There has been a lot of work and effort over the past year from both our own people at Avaya, and from our partners to help customers achieve their digital transformation objectives. We see it as a true partnership. When our partner wins, we win, and want to see both our partners and our own people celebrate that achievement together.”
