Avenir Telecom hires Paul Sandy to drive new business

Networks & Network Services
Avenir Telecom, the UK B2B telecoms distributor, has announced the addition of Paul Sandy to its indirect sales team. His role will be to focus on the acquisition of new business, both in established and new markets.

Sandy joins Avenir as national account manager in the midst of its 20th anniversary year. He brings with him 10 years of experience at retail, operator, manufacturer and distribution levels.

He joins from 20:20mobile where he was regional business manager, responsible for trade sales to the retail channel. He previously spent three years with Samsung, initially as part of its retail and distribution team, managing its Elect programme, and then in account management, working with distribution customers on handsets and accessories. He has also spent two years with Vodafone.

"I'm thrilled to be joining Avenir during this landmark year," Sandy reported. "The company has a well respected business process for growth and retention and I'm looking forward to putting this in place with new clients as they come on board. This business process is on-line for all to see* and it's something, I believe, sets Avenir apart from its competitors."

Added Avenir Telecom's managing director, Andy Tow: "Paul fits into the heart of our team. Avenir has broadened its offering across new areas such as fixed line broadband and accessories in recent months, so Paul will bolster the team dedicated to our traditional core, plus help to build on all the new opportunities. His decade of solid, mobile-specific experience will mean he integrates quickly with our clients and channel partners."
